Fellow forum users: I want to install a pellet stove in the basement of this cottage and need advice.
In the first photo, you can see the stove location. I want to exhaust the stove out the stud wall (wall with the window) between the first and second studs in the corner (you can see where the studs are as the drywall is not yet painted). The side wall is ICF.
The second photo shows the outside wall where the stove will exhaust. The pipe will come out about 3 feet below and to the right of the light fixture, close to the white trim on the siding, then make a turn and extend out about 1 foot beyond the deck above. This will place the end of the exhaust about 5 feet from the operating window you can see in the photo, and about 20 feet from the intake for the air exchanger down the side wall – if you look closely, you can see the intake.
I’ve read the Code, and this appears to be an acceptable install – but I thought I’d check with the experts first!
Any tips or suggestions are greatly appreciated.
