13th year with my Enviro M55 Insert. Stove runs fine off the Wall T-Stat. My problem is that (with the T-Stat off)….If I put the stove in "Manual Mode" the ON OFF switch does not work….I cannot turn stove on. Conversely, if the stove is running on the T-Stat and I turn the T-Stat off and then go to the stove and put it Manually Mode again, I cannot turn the stove off, pushing the ON OFF button does nothing.

What I have done….unplugged the stove, let it sit, plug back in.
Without pulling the stove out (YET) I have checked the wiring that I can get to from the stove to where it goes into the floor….basement run across the room, up a wall to the T-Stat.
I have also hit the reset button in the T-Stat.
Before I pull the stove out, I tried hitting the Re-Set Button in the Hopper, removing the small circular disc and inserting a pencil like end of a wooden spoon but I am not sure that I am hitting the reset button.
So……I want to remove the top panel (around the Hopper) so that I can check out the Reset Button and the wiring to the ON OFF switch. BUT I don’t know what I need….T Hex???? See photo! Have 5 fasteners? to remove.

Any other ideas greatly appreciated!

Maybe I could take a drill to it and replace with a slighty larger screw…?

Thanks all, I forgot to mention that I can see the area under these (fasteners?) It’s just open dead space…I think I will just drill out.

those are rivets not screws
Thanks! Question….If I lift off the sliding top, and remove the right hand side piece, there is no access. If you say they are rivets, I’ll take your word, BUT, at some point in the life of the stove, the wiring underneath and the reset button might need to be checked. The top piece obviously comes off, but how?🤔

All fixed! Found the two hex nuts that hold the side plate to the control panel. The reason the On Off button didn’t work was a ridiculously simple reason. There is nothing but a wired screw wth a flat end that makes an electrical contact with the On Off button when pressed……unless the screw has slowly unscrewed a bit over the years, probably by vibration….
