Proper stove size?

It's a small space. If well insulated, heating with wood could get challenging. It may be overkill in milder weather and need frequent stoking in very cold weather. Will there be another primary or backup source for heat? Are other affordable heating resources available like electric, nat gas or propane?
 
The young couple next door to me just spent 2 winters here in their tiny house it is well insulated with spray foam.they just heated it with a 1500 watt heater in the crawl space and a 1500 watt heater in the cabin .part.not sure of the size but they could not put a stove in theirs.our winters are brutally cold as well
