It would be great if people could post some videos of this new stove in action. Personally, I'm curious as to how the 'fireworks' created by the orientation of the burn tubes looks, and whether it's as unique and stunning as some of the Open House attendees suggested.

Thanks in advance!

Thank you for the youtube videos--I haven't seen the first one before.

The reason I thought home videos would be interesting is that the Woodstock factory has a powered fan controlling the draft, and most of the videos taken during the open house were really short. IMO, the best videos are taken by typical users in their own homes.

It seems like someone posted a video recently but don't recall who posted it or where it is.

Smart post. I didn't think of that when I saw the factory vids with the pretty flames.

Thats a really nice secondary burn. I liked the way the wood fired up really quickly.

Is this because the wood they used was paper dry. Or is the stove has a better design?

The factory videos are great, but are there any forum members who have videos of burning in their homes? Without the powered exhaust fan and optimized conditions?

Are the pretty flames due to the stove design or the ideal conditions at Woodstock? Combination of both?

Is the end result really a step forward in stove design--or just another great product from a great company?

I think it is a combination of both.

I'm still a bit skeptical that this stove is nothing more than a non cat with a cat to clean up anything left. You shouldn't have to turn the air down all the way to 0 at the beginning of the burn to get a low cat burn, there should be a certain point of control where you can go from non cat to cat or back again during any cycle of the burn.

Thats exactly what it is, managing heat output during the shoulder season is going to be the challenge.

I don't have a video yet, but I can state that the fire show is absolutely amazing!

As to it being a secondary stove with a cat to clean up what's left; it is true to an extent.

If you load it full then that it is basically the most efficient secondary stove ever created.

However, if you load it up to about 60% (I can actually do more), then it is fairly easy to get a low cat burn. So really, it's like having a large, super-efficient secondary stove, and a cat stove the size of a Keystone.
