I'd be also looking at the BK Ashford 30, especially in the new colors. Blue-black enamel looks awesome on a cast-iron stove.
plugging BK is not what this thread is about. plenty of other threads for that. maybe you need to change the title of this tread?

It is indeed as chance04 is also interested in BK stoves. What it is not, is another single brand promotion.

They can't do BK...venting into a thimble so can't do top vent. Has to be rear vent and to my knowledge BK doesn't allow for this...

As some one else already said, check and see if Woodstock can give you a reference. Unfortunately a lot of the WS people are no longer on Hearth.com and will not be aware of your request.

I haven't contacted them. Parents are actually interested in Hearthstone because they like the idea of seeing what they're going to purchase without a whole lot of travel. I'm slightly annoyed

All good advice. I think they're going to order the progress hybrid. They have a good sale on hybrids right now, not to mention free shipping! We're concerned about getting it in the house and repairing dad's chimney. His liner has some pretty out of line places in it so we're afraid we're not going to be able to get the new 6" insulated round down the flue. Then, we're concerned about the T and the bottom. How does one connect it through the thimble to the liner?

I too would like to hear this. I assume you run single wall through the thimble, but I would guess out depends on code and materials the thimble and chimney are constructed of

WS was talking about a strap that goes around the pipe and screws into the pipe that comes from the stove. My question is how you get your hand in there to screw this strap on to secure these pipes...

Never used a liner, these are just images I found online when I was researching how to make my chimney safer/better operating
Ohhhhhh so the screw is inside the pipe...now that I can understand! Thank you!

Just a little fyi. I contacted Woodstock. I was informed there aren't any IS stoves on delmarva. I'm going to assume there were no PH stoves either since he didn't offer any location to them as an alternative. He was very pleasant and referred me back to the buy it back guarantee and sent me owners manual to the ideal steel for me to read through to better get acquainted with the stove and its operations. Just thought I'd share

I looked it up on the map. Denton Maryland is a little over 3 hours to my driveway. That is taking rt 1 north into Delaware to southern Lancaster county PA. The other option would be to go into Baltimore and take 83 North to rt 30 and head east.

Thats a long drive to look at a stove. Maybe there is somebody in DC or Virginia with one?

I certainly appreciate your hospitality, and i still may take you up on the offer. I was posting for the OP just a tid bit of info to chew on. I'm kind of afraid to bring my wife back to Lancaster, I'll get roped into a day at those god forsaken outlets that takes all my stove funds lol
