Premium Blazer and Future Fuel II

Anyone burned either of these?

I just picked up a bag of each at HD, and bother were 6 bucks a bag.

Both say they are made from premium 100% hardwood. but both bags have nothing other the label and website on the bag. my Fireside ultras have a big write up on each bag explaining them

This is my first season burning and I have not burned anything other then fireside ultra

I plan on shutting my stove down tomorrow and giving it a good clean, then running one bag, and then Sunday morning do another clean and run the other bag

I did a write up on the Future Fuel II. Do a search and you will find it.

The Future Fuel I returned a ton of caused scary problems with my stove.

I just looked it up and I ever remember reading that post but I guess the name never stuck with else I would not have bought it.

Well we will see tomorrow when I open the bag. I will keep an eye out for any prizes too

I saw some future fuel II in HD, I had bought three bags of premium ultra and it gave me a lot of trouble, I don't know if the pellet size (some over 2") or some other junk was the problem but it managed to jam my auger more than once. One of the bags of future fuel had a rip and I looked in and saw a lot of long pellets just like the ultra that gave me problems.

Blazers are my favorite pellets and I have never had a problem with them. They also seem to be easy to find and different places here sell them. In my area they are usually around $5.00 per bag which is a few dollars cheaper than the Lignetics. BTW the Blazers here are made by West Oregon Wood Products and contain Douglas Fir and Cedar which are softwoods.

after coming home to no pellet heat at 3:30 am I had a talk with my stove dealer, turns out my pellets (natures heat freedom fuel) is the problem. they have high fines and are very crumbly, but not puffed from water. the small pieces were jamming the auger not the big pellets like I thought.
So I have to take back what I said about Ultras and future fuel II. I'll have to buy some and see how they burn in my OPB.

The Blazers I buy in HD in CT are also from West Oregon Wood Products. Lots of heat no ash problem and no clinkers. $5.98/bag price hasn't changed since beginning of season. You would think the price would've dropped by now. Everytime I stop in they seem to have new skids.
