I'm a wood guy helping a friend that needs backup heat. Wood will be to much of an issue, so I suggested pellets for all the reasons we all know. The primary reason for the pellet stove is power outage and no primary heat in the house.

Is there a pellet stove that doesn't need power? Some sort of manual operation?

I assume some here that have battery backups on the stove. How long can they run the stove? Is it worth doing?
