While looking for an oil tank at a local junkyard I was escorted past a mountain of discarded propane tanks. I made some comment about them and in the ensuing conversation I learned that they are worth only the scrap price by weight to them. I didn't see the plaques on the but several looked to be at least 500 gallons.

If you are interested in obtaining one, give them a call. Now this outfit runs a pretty "loose" operation. It took me two weeks, 5 telephone calls and three visits to get a price on an oil tank. I suggest that if you call, provide them with some rough dimensions because they probably don't know what the capacity is and they probably won't bother to look. Also they have trouble setting a price so it would expedite things to make them an offer. Don't offer over $200 bucks.

They've got what we need but are very frustrating to do business with.
