I just started burning ENVI Bricks this year in my Vermont Castings Vigilant wood stove, and am experiencing some unusual pitch buildup and drippage. I love the fact that the bricks burn so hot and efficiently, but find this to be quite odd.

Had the chimney, flue and stove cleaned before this season.
Never had these issues before when burning wood.
Yes, I am taking the bricks out of the plastic wrap :)

I'm wondering if anyone has experienced similar issues?? Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Welcome antonk. Could be the stove or flue temps are too cool. Tell us a bit about the stove and how it's being run. Is the secondary port open on the side of the stove? What is the flue connection to the stove, single-wall? how long? What temps are you running the stove at? Is this with the bypass open or closed? Also, where are the drips occurring?

Sorry for all the questions, but we need to see what you are seeing. Pics are helpful too.
