I'm thinking about insulating my supply and return mains in the basement. I'll need about 120' of 1 1/4" insulation. Anyone know of a good online source?

Why not try a local insulating shop or local piping supply company and save the shipping cost. 3/4" wall armaflex or fiberglass right at a $1.00 per foot here in Chicago.

Is there a preference between fiberglass and closed cell insulation?

I like the closed cell for ease to install, great for cold water piping too. Fiberglass would be better if temp is 180 or higher as closed cell has a tendency to bake at these temps over time.
