I have a Heat N Glow Pheonix42-IFT gas fireplace. When I start try it, on the remote the 2 min timer starts but the fan does not come on for the 2 min purge cycle. Any ideas? It worked fine two weeks ago. Thank you.

Lennox65,
Thank you. Good idea. I reset the control module and the fan controller. I ran it again. The S1 lt steady and a blinking H lt came on the controller. Then when I turn it off, I get the 5 red & 1 green on the control module. Also, I ve never noticed but on the remote there is a icon that shows back up batter low. It's not the regular batteries, I ve changed them and they show full power. I can't find anything in the owners manual about backup batteries.
I just tried ut again and the fan started to run and shut off... no lights. 😳 I am wondering if something is look. In the manual it talks about the power adapter... anynidea where that would be located? Wouldnt it be right there with the controller etc?
Thank you!
You shouldn't have back up batteries installed. Because this model fireplace has a required Power Vent that needs 120v power, there is no way to run it off of a 6v back up.
The power adapter is the 6v transformer plug that goes from the back of the IFT module to the 120v power strip.
The error code is for the power vent. you need to reset the blower speed control. It is a detailed process and needs to be followed exactly.
Got it, I didnt think it would have back up batteries either.
Ok,so I reset the control modual, ran it, got the 5 green and 1 red. So I reset the fan controller, per instructions. Reran it, the fan started to try to run for just a sec then stopped. Then got the 5 green 1 red on the co trol modual again.... no lights at all.on yhe fan controller. Any ideas?

The only other thing mentioned for that specific error code is resetting the high limit switch. I have never had to do this so I am not sure where it is located. High limit switches are usually mounted in the upper right hand corner of the fireplace opening.
