While shopping at Sam's Club, I always check the pellet prices. on 9/17/2011, my Sam's Club was clearancing the 700+ bags of pellets they had left over from last season.

While I was buying 15 bags, I checked my local supplier. Last year I bought a ton for $175 and they raised the price to $220 for this year.

We ended up buying 3 tons of Pennington Nature's Heat pellets at $3.61 per bag. I am set for the winter since I used 3 tons last year.

(Oh, the Pennington Nature's Heat burned very well in my stove last year.)

saw what looked to be about 4 open tons of Penningtons inside next to the exit at Sam's Augusta Me. I think they were asking $240 a ton. Didn't see any others sitting outside. So no idea if these are new or left over.

Where in WV??? I will be heading to Elkins in a week and a half, so maybe I can kill two birds with one stone and bring back a ton of pellets.
I will be traveling from the PA border south on 79 to route 33 into Elkins. Thanks for the info in advance!!

I went to the South Charleston, WV store.

Coming down I-79, you'll pass Sam's Clubs in Morgantown and Clarksburg/Bridgeport. Both are right off the Interstate.

I tested pellets available to me last year and Natures Heat (from Walmart) were one of the biggest positive surprises for me. Fairly cheap and lots of heat...anyone happens to know if they are a rebaged different brand ? Otherwise I think even the 220 USD would be a good prce for them...
