I'm entering 3rd season with our FP 30 (summit firebox) and all seems fine with this impressive to me heater. My baffle has had a warp in it from early on, this year it seems a bit more than ever. As stated I don't think I'm experiencing any performance issues but wondering if/what I should be watching for? I think the manual states a 1/2" or less warp is allowed and what/where this warp is in there reference? Last season start up I had the local stove company that installed it out to come clean the chimney and inspect the stove after it's first season. When I asked the fella about the warp he didn't really say much but to keep an eye on it.
To the other PE owners, what are you folks seeing/experiencing with your warpage and when is it time to replace the baffle?

You can hold a straight edge alongside of it to measure the sag.

Our baffle is going on season 11 and it has about 1/8? sag from corners to center. It's hardly noticeable. Folks that consistently drive their stove hotter report seeing greater sag after several seasons. It's still fine for operation. If it develops a split it should be replaced right away.

10/4 thanks begreen, I will let the stove cool and check for cracks. It has "sucked" up in the front and "drooped" in the back. A bit hot to get a better pic currently.
