Both highly rated, good looking units that heat very well. At 2.3 cu ft the Hampton has a bit more capacity, but the T5 has a linked secondary control that helps extend burn time. The HI300 has conventional burn tubes so it is a bit more work when cleaning. The T5 baffle assembly lifts up and out with the removal of one pin. There should be no smoke spillage during loading if draft is adequate. Here the T5 has an advantage if the chimney height is below 16ft. It needs less chimney and has a square firebox which is deeper. The T5 can be loaded N/S where the HI300 is more of an E/W loading stove.
