Cleaned the stove today but the heat exchangers and inside walls have a beige colored film from the ash on them that will not sweep off. The ash swept off but the residue it left will not. I used to be able to get it to bare metal but not now. Is there a good cleaner that will take that discoloration off?

I was burning Turmans. Was thinking of spraying with some type of cleaner and scrubbing it or using a fine wire brush on it.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

I always use
Acetone
Available @ most Hardware Stores & Home Depot.

my P61A has had that beige film on the heat exchanger for past couple years..
never concidered it a problem or thought it interfered with heat output.
I use a steel wool pad and clean the ash off every time i clean the stove.
i'm sure if I used an acid cleaner it would eventually come back again.
like trying to keep your burnpot the original silver grey or whatever it was when new..
