My P61A on room temp will get like that until it gets up to temp then it lowers the feed and fan rate. If you are heating a large drafty house then it is going to be working hard to keep it warm. my 2200 SF house is fairly new and tight so the stove doesnt run real hot. I am going through around 1 1/2 bags a day though.

I have a Harmon P68 and can't for the life of me figure out the best settings. If you ever figure it out, please let me know.

I bought a harmon p68 and havnt had the stove installed yet. I heat about 2200 square feet...i bougth 600 gals. of oil last year and this year I cut back quite a bit.. Well first let me explain. I'm putting on an addition and which will make my house 2200 sq ft. I got 400 gals. of oil and 4 tons of pellets..... My house is fairly new and I was wondering if anyone new....about how many tons will I go through for that amount of square feet? Could I heat my entire house on just 4 tons of pellets?

I have a P61. Burned almost 4 tons this last winter, only 3 and a half the previous. We have a double wide around 1900 sq. feet. I have the feed rate between 3 and 4 at the room temp settings. I didnt have real great pellets this year,(Pa. Pellets), so I think thats why I burned more. Also, it seemed to me to be colder then the previous winter.
We have kerosene but only run it when the stove is down to clean, or if it was in service.
Oh, and Id say average temp setting was around 74.
