Hi - We run a Pleasant Hearth cabinet stove. It apparently overfilled overnight - woke up to a raging fire (unburned pellets on the floor of the firebox, outside the burn pot). Turned it off, waited for it to cool, cleaned everything well. There are scorch marks on the bottom of the firebox and a bunch of burned-on gunk on the door glass. Any insights or advice? Thoughts re whether it is safe to run?

Your stove needs to be cleaned. Air intake to chimney termination
The reason you found your stove in that state is that there was not enough combustion air
so it just filled the pot and burned a very dirty lazy fire. you were lucky this type of fire causes hopper fires
It is important to keep your stove clean, a full stem-to-stern cleaning after every pallet of pellets
A clean stove is a happy stove
Welcome to the forum sorry to be so critical But like any solid fuel-fired unit they have to be kept clean
and not just the ash in the firebox.
