When Englander stoves, in particular, need the outside air kit hooked up, are there any other tubing materials that make a better outside air pipe than the cheap, easily dented flex tube that comes in the kit?
Did anyone ever use metal conduit, cpvc, or rubber hose.... like washing machine drain hose or automotive rubber hose or reinforced vinyl hose (with the white cross threads)? I mean these hoses could route to a wall without the outside air wall plate kit. You could use different fittings at the wall or run a metal conduit pipe straight through? Don't know if the rubber hose idea is good because the hot exhaust pipe is closeby, but it seems metal conduit might make a good tube.
