Hey folks,
Proud owner of an osburn 3500 insert and its my first season running it. So far, so good.
I did the ceremonial break in fires, the wonderful smell is no longer.
I've ran my stove top temp to mid 600s F. I'm wondering if this is too hot. Don't want to warp the thing. I'm using an infrared thermometer. The fire brick in the box reads 900s at this stove top temp. I went through the manual and unless I missed it, there is no definitive optimal running temp or temp that is considered "overfire".
Anyone care to share their wisdom?
