In my recent posts I have stated that we are aiming at 1 cord per week c/s/s. This will require that on some weeks I go crazy with all hands on deck to make up for weeks like the next two where I am away for work excepting 2 days.
In the spirit of "no pictures=didn't happen" please note the following pictorial
As well, to my chagrin and to my long term health's benefit... ie/Good exercise.... These two plus cords came in with no help from the young'uns, split at first with the 6 pound maul til the handle gave out then I bumped up to the fiberglass handled 8 pounder. Which, for the record I really dislike fibreglass handles as too much of the weight ends up being in the handle.
I can hardly believe that I once owned a sotz monster maul and claimed to enjoy using it.
The four stacks on the left were done over the past 13 days. Last night was the toughest as I split almost a half a cord in 90 degree heat, high humidity and mosquitoes. But give that I said that I was going to do it.... I had to get it done!
