This guy came home, we will say last night, and saw that the flame in the Mt Vernon was resembled the flame of a match given out at a wedding approx 20 years ago, you know the kind. It took the entire pack to light a single cigarette. Well this guy investigated the problem and saw that the ash in the burn pot was about level with the inside firebox. This guy knowing a little about stoves tried to remember if the ash pan had been cleaned last. He could not do it but guessed it was over a month ago. Hmmmmm, what to do?
Well this guy went about his business and drank a couple beers and ate dinner, in that order. This guy looked at the stove a short while later and that self cleaning burn pot was not working right cause it was still full. So this guy emptied the ash pan about three feet from the front door so the dogs could walk through the ash prior to coming into the house. This guy replaced the ash pan and guess what. The flame looked as good as new. Back to the beer.
The moral of this little story is clean your ash pan more than once a month. I am still suing that bleeping dealer.
