Hi this is my first post here, i am thinking of upgrading our existing fireplace to a insert. I have doors on the fireplace now, although not 100% airtight. It puts out a lot of heat when the blowers are on. But I would like to get more heat. I have access to plenty of wood and plenty of room for an insert. Would upgrading to a insert make much difference in heat output. I'm looking at the blazeking princess and the pacific energy summit.

Thanks Al

Yes it will make a massive difference in heat output and cut dowen dramatically on wood consumption. You may think it puts out decent heat now but if you get an insert installed correctly you will realize how bad it really is now.
