All should be well, Kathleen,,,I have the same thing done on my stove,,,,never had a problem,,,,no smell from the Roxul either....

No problem what so ever. I did mine before this burn season and it made a huge difference. What sold me was the 2150°F melting point. If our stove ever got close to this temp, it would become liquid metal. Burn on!
