Hit 61 today (low is projected to be 53) and same forcast for tomorrow. Not supposed to hit freezing until next week here in central CT. Much as I like having a nice fire in the stove and really want to watch the oilman try to figure out why he can't get more than 50 gallons into the tank...I prefer not spending money for either pellets or oil

I hated snow and winter until I got a sled (ski-doo) to bomb around the field and occasionally take it to the local state park.

I am waiting to see how the stove performs on a -10 degree night brrrr.

LOL...I hear you. I went to college at SUNY Oswego, so I understand where your coming from...LOL We had 56" of snow in 3 days the first winter I was there.

Thanks for the heads up. It's still quite warm here in southeastern CT, but I'm ready for everything I can be ready for. Just tuned the snow blower and generator, cleaned the stove, have 150 gals of HHO, about 10 gals of gas, 5 tons of pellets, fridge and pantry's full of food, plenty of shotgun shells, and just walked the dogs. Did I miss anything? LOL.

BTW, it gets pretty cold in Bangor, I imagine. You sure 1 ton will get you through the winter? How big an area you heating?

Sorry no pictures yet.No I dont think one ton will do me the winter but they will get me going.Im hoping pellet prices will go back down to the 204 that i paid in july when supplys get caught up.My house is 1100 square feet.So im thinking maybe 2 more tons.

I am thinking of putting up my mulching mower and putting the snow blower on the firing line Monday. May or may not see snow this week.

Ok, I'm still waiting for my Harman XXV pellet stove to arrive. It has been on order since June.
