Hello, well have another question that I could not find a answer for doing a search. It has to do with hooking up a OAK and having 90deg turns in it. I could not go straight off the back of the stove thru the wall. Really did not want to cut a hole thru the "Hot Wall" and the new siding. Wife would not let me going thru the new carpet to the basement. So what I did was took 2 boards cut a 3" hole in then and put 3/4" foam board between them. The board fits into the new window at the bottom and is insulated all around so should have a good seal. But I used the 8' that the 3" flex tubing came in. It has one 90 to get to the floor then a 90 to go to the stove then a 90 to the inlet on the stove. Some might be a little less the a full 90. If a 90 in the chimney is like cutting 5' off what are they doing to the OAK? It would seem to me that you have to have air coming in to get a good draft? Do you think i'm going to have trouble? The house it fairly tight. Thanks for your help.

Try it, if you do have a problem, (you probably won't) go to a 4" duct.
