I think he's selling the flexible hose with it or am I missing something?

I think the round louvre is going to restrict the amount of air going into that 2" duct.
I `ve got a long (28 ft) 4" OAK on my stove and I can hear the air rush in.
I was surprised how much air the intake fan actually uses.
Regarding the muffler clamp , it could be a good thing if that flexible hose is strong stuff.

That louvre will definetely restrict the air, I tried using that same thing and i would end up with a burn pot full of ash even on a low setting, changed to something non restrictive and the problem went away.

Based on the above posts, I agree that the louver does look restrictive, but if Namz111 is wondering why the "kit" comes with a muffler clamp, I guess it would work OK....and I think they're cheaper to buy than a radiator hose clamp.....just a bit more "heavy duty" than is needed....LOL.

I'm sure that's a piece of 'repair' muffler/tailpipe flexpipe, available at any auto parts store. Novel idea to use it as air intake though. Actually might be worth looking at if you had to buy an OAK (mine was included with my Englander).

very similar to the kit that came with my englander... same louvered vent and same flexible piping. my kit came with a galvy "weather hood" cover too

edit: just looked. mine doesn't have louvers. just insect screen.

Check out your local Autozone...$6.69 for the pipe and clamp. Quite a bit of markup on eBay. I guess the louver costs a lot!

I was at lowes last week n swear I saw all those parts! probably any hardware store could fix you up for under 15$

I as well used exhaust parts and a piece of screen I had left over from a previous project for my OAK.
