I managed to scrounge up about 2 cords of seasoned wood along with about 5 cord of ash and cherry with a red oak tree thrown in. I'm down to about a half cord of my seasoned wood(mostly cherry and ash). The thought of turning the oil furnace on sends chills down my spine. I have access to some beech and hard maple tree tops that were cut about 2 years ago. Should I go cut the tops or try to burn some ash that was cut/split/stacked in August/September?
