Tore the stove apart for a good 1 ton cleaning this weekend. Also wanted to find out the cause of a noisy conv blower. Thought maybe dust etc but found more than that. The way the motors are assembled, the "can" around the center section is crimped to the end bearing plates. I had already found the non-business end was loose with the blower in the stove and gave it a couple "taps" with a flat blade screwdriver and hammer to tighten the crimps up. I added a hose clamp to snug it up a bit more on the side I could not get at. That quieted it somewhat, however, it was still prone to certain harmonic "whines" at different speeds.
With the blower removed from the stove I could see that the other end of the "can" was not crimped tight either. A few more magic "taps" and now the Home Depot corner doorway fan (@ three feet away) is louder than the convection blower on low settings.
Thought I would share this in case anyone else has a noisy blower in their stove.
