Greatings all;

This last Friday I purchased a new Pelpro 130 which replaced a Breckwell Big E. Anyway as I was installing it this weekend I had a bit of trouble with the existing vent pipe because it doesn't line up exactly with the new stove. I did get the pipe on but it isn't as snug on the outlet of the stove as I would really like. My question is this: can I drill a hole or two into the pipe and stove outlet to screw it into place to absolutely make sure it stays on or is this a no-no? I'm not sure if ash would accumulate on the protruding screws. Thanks for any help!

Some stoves actually recommend it.
