New Pertinger cook stove installation

Hi there! I recently joined this community to ask for advice on installing a cook stove in my kitchen. I saw your post and thought I’d post a question... I’m about to order a european wood cook stove (Pertinger) and my wife wants it installed similar like yours. I’d like to ask if you had any trouble or issues for installing the stove between the kitchen cabinets. Any advice or recommendations you can share would be great! Thank you.

I don't know to whom you are directing your question, and I am not familiar with that brand or that stove, but what are the side and rear clearances required?

In my case [Aga in photo] clearance is 5" and that is assuming I used double-walled stovepipe, which I did.

I had an older cookstove, however, that had much higher clearance requirements all the way around. [antique]

Moved to it's own thread from previous cook stove thread where the stove was placed between cabinets. The concern here is clearances so the first place to check is with the stove manufacturer. Ask for them to provide any close clearance specs , in writing.

I have lurked for about a year. finally signed up and joined today. I'll try to do a brief introduction.

Wife and I bought many acres, about 20 miles outside of the nearest city, in 2022. my wife custom designed the Floorplan to our "dream house" then had it converted into actual blueprints. house was completed, and we moved in mid 2023.

col9697, which Pertinger model are you looking to install? It looks like they make some cabinet models stoves like the 70 ÖKOALPIN with very close side clearances (3mm). Documentation will be critical to have in advance for a qualified installer, code inspection, and for the insurance company.

Hi, I decided on the Pertinger Professional 110. This stove has the same clearances as the Okoalpin 110. Both have a built-in ventilation system all around the sides and back that allows them to be fitted very close to the cabinets. After more realistic considerations, my installation will be more traditional (standalone), and not in between cabinets. The only thing I would like, is to have it installed with the minimum clearance on the back, about 4 or 6 inches from the wall, the manufacturer documentation claims that it can be installed with a minimum clearance of 40mm from the wall on the back if insulation rated for 200 degrees celsius is used (40mm of insulation with heat conductivity equal to 0.1 W/mK at 200°C), but to be safe and to pass inspection, 4 to 6 inched maybe a better option. I'll be working with a very qualified installer.

Check flue clearance too. That may be more than the stove depending on what is used.
