Hello, just joined up been a lurker here for awhile I have a P.E Spectrum Classsic. Very happy with it enjoy the site and all the helpful information. Im kind of bumming its going to be getting warm still have plenty of wood to burn.... Pez

Welcome Pez! Nice stove you have there. Lots of happy owners here. I stumbled upon this site last year and have never left. ;-) Some people add their stove to the signature portion of the profile. It can help identify you if you come back around. I'm running out of wood and hope the end is near.

Welcome. Been here only a few months myself and hardly a day goes by that I don't learn something. What is a trap like that used for except Avatars..

Thanks for the compliments on the trap definetly one of my favorites..No wife is not named Peg.... Did ya think you knew me by chance...? That trap would be used for coyotes, bobcats etc. that size animal.. More of a collector trap than user as Northwoods didnt produce too many of them. If you happen to have one let me know...

no, i didn't think i knew you at all...just my attempt at humor. if your wife had stepped into the trap, i think she would end up with a short leg on one side..."peg"

Ok I got ya LOL.... Shes quite used to traps.. I have certainly caught myself enough times in them..

Welcome pez. Can we keep the topic on stoves, heating or the like? Otherwise this thread may be heading for the can. There's a DIY forum here for non-hearth chat where discussing traps and the like would be more appropriate.

And congrats on the nice stove. That's a winner.

I don't think it's really a trap at all. More like a grappling hook for firewood. I'll bet you could use that thing and just throw it out in the woods and trap, I mean grab, a log, hook it to the back of your ATV and drag it right up to the house. Reset it and split that log and throw the pieces in your wood stove and get heat....

Sorry BeGreen, just couldn't help myself. :) :red:

Anyway, welcome again and please stay on topic. Use words like wood, fire, heat, stove, cat etc and he'll leave you alone. :-S
