I will be installing a pellet insert into an existing wood fireplace to heat my 600sqft family room.

My budget is around $3K, which puts me into the Comfortbilt territory. I was browing FB Marketplace and found a used Ironstrike Winslow for $1900, which appears to be a $6000 unit new. Today I went and checked out the Ironstrike, it is clean and seems to be in good condition. The date of manufacture is 2008, which makes it pretty old. Being that these units are still sold and parts available, the age doesn't worry me quite as much.

I guess I'm torn between purchasing a new Chinese unit or a used US made unit. What are your thoughts?

Yes the Comfortbilt stove are assembled in China with parts from all over the world
Ironstrike stoves are assembled in the US with parts from all over the world
Harman are assembled in the US with parts from all over the world
Enviro are assembled in Canada with parts from all over the world
Shall I go on
Your choice all stoves are built with parts sourced all over the world

Personally i would lean towards the ironstrike, or keep looking for a cb1200i, or an Enviro insert. Harman insert.
