Hello all,
I'm new to this forum and just wanted to say hi. I've been reading all of your posts for a week now and figured it's time I jumped into the fire!

-Long time Quadra fire owner (2 of 'em) and new to the pellet world this year (sorry).

I like many of you am a scrounger, and have been for several years (hate the oil man!) I thought I'd share this weekends score w/ you.
1-ish cord of Red Oak, dead standing.

Welcome to the forum, and your new support group for scroungers anonymous! Nice trailer, sure helps with the hauling.

Looks you have a real sweet tandem axle trailer as well, NICE, welcome Werm.

Welcome to the forum Werm.

Hey, are you sure you have red oak there? That is sort of a far away picture of the blocks on the ground but it doesn't look like red oak. Of course, it is always difficult to tell by pictures so I can certainly be wrong.

I think it's red oak....Look at the round on the left of the pile??

Welcome to house of wood nuts Werm!!

I'm just seeing all that white looking wood. Perhaps it is a white oak or ash (look at the small heart)? I'm speaking only of the wood on the ground; not in the trailer.

The wood in the trailer is Poplar and Maple, The wood on the ground is definitely Red Oak, I cut it down and was attacked by every @#$^ing acorn on the tree as it fell!!!

The trailer is an absolute must! What you can't see in the photo ia a 12,000 # winch attached to the front rail to pull up log length pieces.

Thanks for the welcomes and hello's I look forward to many posts/reply's

It looks like white oak to me based on that picture, but regardless, it's FREE.

Welcome to the forum... Nice trailer too!

Defiantly Red Oak.

Hi Werm! Nice bunch of Red Oak you got there. And a very nice trailer too! I like the little camper in the background, just the right size and beats sleeping on the ground. Is it yours?
