Hello!
We're building a new home in south-east Ontario. We've been doing a lot of research on various options, and we think we have it narrowed down between the Napoleon S9, the Enviro 2100, and the Pacific Energy Summit.
The stove will be installed into the basement to heat a 1100sq ft main floor and matching basement. The basement will be completely insulated with a propane furnace. We think that a 3.0 cubic foot would be a good size for us to give us decently long burn times overnight and not be so small that it would need a raging fire in the dead of winter when the temps can drop down to -40C/F.
I haven't been able to find a lot of comments about the S series good or bad. Does anyone have experience with this stove? Should we consider the other brands instead?
We also really like the look of the S series with the latch handle and hidden hinges, but function is definitely more important.
Thanks!
EDIT: The house will be a split level, and the living room/kitchen/dining room will have cathedral ceilings.
