This is the first winter in this house - stove isn't installed yet. This is all wood that I have scrounged from freecycle/CL/knocking on doors, and all carried in the back of my minivan... I did carry 1/2 a cord in one go once, with the rear chairs removed - never again, very dicey - even a 1/3 is pushing it.
I have about two cords dry, hope some more will be ready when I need it - we'll see. Apart from this picture I also have >1 cord of oak that is baking in the sun (but won't be ready). About a cord and half is pine/hemlock, the rest a mix of maple/locust/oak. Now that its all split and stacked I have an empty feeling inside and a need to continue collecting for next year....
All the rows you see are at least double, some have three or four rows behind the front one.
