Mine is going on 20 years old, so I replaced everything including exhaust and convection blowers. Ingot them on E bay by modle numbers. (See photo). O don't think the fan has anything to do with Breckwell. IMO, it is just a stock fan.
On setting three the blower is about 63 decibels. Which is too loud because of where I am sitting.
I would like to put a variable resistor in line somewhere to slow the fan a bit.
Any ideas?

doing that will only lead to it pushing more air out the exhaust vent and possibly a over heat situation for the stove and shut it down. May have to do some research and get some better quality fans, i replaced all of mine over the last year and found my stove quieter but i did not go cheap and purchased the OEM fans right from a dealer. We pretty much sit within 5-10 feet of our stove

Also if you go modifying your stove from manufacturer specs you run the chance of voiding your home insurance not a chance worth taking.

yes the control board controls the fan, as the link above their are lots of online sites that have OEM parts or you could look up who is a authorized dealer and order direct from them.. When i first got my stove i ordered one blower off amazon and it did not even last the season and when i contacted the seller for warranty they just screwed me around and it was not worth the effort to get warranty.

For warmup my stove is on 3 untill room gets to temp then I drop it to 1, only time it sees 3 or 2 for any length of time is if it is colder than -10 out... I have never run on 4-5
