Awesome I know what it is like to have a new saw. I'm not trying to one up you just thought you would like to see a couple toys I picked up last summer.

Three brand new stihl 660 one was supposed to be for my father one new one for me to replace my other 660 and one to just collect. Sounds stupid but I love the saw. My father then said he didn't want the saw to just keep it, and that he didn't want me to sell my normal use 660. I now have five saws three brand new never seen gas or oil 660 a 880 that has only about eight or nine tanks through it and a 660 with about a dozen and a half tanks through it.
 
I was going to go the 660 route, but I called baileys, they put together a deal 200 cheaper, as well as no taxes, and free shipping. Husky, and Stihl in my book are close enough in quality to be equal as far as I'm concerned. I feel like a I got about 4cc for 200 less!
 
Absolutely it's an awesome saw bet you can't wait to cut some wood now. Big saws like this are awesome they just pull that chain with ease. I run a 25 inch and a 36 inch bar on my 660. The 36 is nice but unless in big wood the slightly smaller bar comes in handy.

Looks like you did good. I stopped buying Stihls for 2 reasons. The first is because I found a great Jonsered dealer which is just a red Husky anyways, and the other is I got tired of paying the premium price for the Stihl.

Stihl is a great marketing company and has been very successful in building their brand value based more on perceived value than actual product superiority. Their products are darn good no doubt, but are built and engineered no better than Huskies products, or Dolmar. This is true for both the homeowner market and the pro market. Also true for their other products , although I've used the Stihl power pole saws and their top model pole saw is the best out their in my opinion.

Taking dealer support out of the picture ( since Stihl like all brands has good dealers and not so good dealers) The only tangible added value I can see to the Stihl is resale value. That excellent brand awareness on the new end carries over to the used market. If you sell your saws after a few years the Stihl will bring more money in the used market. Just my observation.

That said between those 2 saws and I've run both and worked with both ( well mostly the 660 and the versions before it) the Huskies air filtration system keeps the air filter cleaner longer. Plus you said it was $200 cheaper. Great deal to me.

Enjoy your beast! My 395XP just chews through thick ash trunks without a hassle. It's thirsty on fuel, but keeps on going. I've got a 32" GB bar on it (from Left Coast). Nice wood chewing machine!
