When I went to bed last night my AP5660(L) stove was working great, this morning code E3 was flashing & it wouldn't ignite. So I turned my stove off for a few minutes, then back on, now code E4 is flashing. I clean/vacuum my stove everyday because it gets terribly dirty with dust and the inside gets completely covered in black soot therefore I have to deep clean it every day. What do I need to do to get it to ignite?

I read "Black soot means it's either not getting enough combustion air, it's getting too much fuel or the exhaust system is restricted". The exhaust is the bigger pipe that goes outside, right? If so, it's not restricted. "To much fuel" means to many pellets in the burn box, so that's not it either. I'm not positive what "not getting enough combustion air" means.

My past problem has been the pin that goes to the auger, that I guess holds the motor shaft in the auger, has broken 3-4 times. Of course this last time it broke in the night & I didn't have a pin handy to replace it. I put the shaft back in the auger hole, held it there while I turned it on & it worked. So I got one of my flame resistant Punduit zip ties to hold the motor & it's worked ever since then. I bought this stove new 5 years ago & have had so many problems with it! When it works, it works great & when something goes wrong it's a B to fix! I feel like maybe I don't have it installed correctly or something not setup right, after all I am "just a woman" (someone said that to me & it's been stuck in my craw ever since) My pellet stove & my wood stove are my only heat & it's cold here in Northwestern Oklahoma! I'm 58 years old, have to cut my own firewood & it seems like chainsaws are the only thing harder to keep running than my pellet stove! I recently bought a new Husqvarna but unfortunately a strong man didn't come with it to run it lol. (Just a joke) I run it myself & cut my firewood BUT I need help with my pellet stove! Please & Thank you in advance!

Leisalynn welcome to the forum
First is your stove clean all ash chambers from air intake to exhaust termination
A dirty stove plugged with ash will not work properly
Do you have a manual? If not here is an online copy
Please read the section on Damper
Is your home airtight? If so consider an OAK (outside air kit) it provides outside air to maintain the fire
If your home is air tight open a window a tiny bit in the stove room to supply air for combustion
Black soot on the glass is caused by poor combustion (dirty Fire)
The video is from Envrio and the best I have seen for pellet stove flame
