Last season the pellet stove worked perfectly until the end of the season, so first time trying to get it going, I am getting 4 red lights error code that it is supposed to mean missed ignition from the feed motor does not run. I emptied the hopper and I cleaned really well from the hopper and from the front, just in case there was something jamming it. Nothing unexpected came out of it, so I then tried to start the pellet stove again with the hopper empty to see if I could move the auger to help remove any possible pieces jamming it, but nothing really happened. According to what I found, I am supposed to:

-Inspect feed motor circuit (Hopper lid must be closed, vacuum switch must be closed, snap disc closed, and feed motor must be plugged in) Problem is I do not know how to make sure the vacuum switch is closed, snap disc closed... I think I can figure if the auger is still plugin, which it should since last season it worked, so I do not see how it would get unplugged.

Are there any videos out there that could be helpful?
Perhaps any other suggestions of what my problem could be?

I appreciate your help!

Steven

When you turn on the stove does the combustion fan come on (Exhaust fan)?
To test the vac switch make up a short test wire, remove the 2 wires on the vac
switch and put them together start the stove does the auger motor turn?
If it does check the vac line for wear ( heat damage cracking holes) and replace
as necessary or replace the vac switch. Also, make sure the hose nipple on the
stove is clear of ash (paper clip works well as a prob.
The jumped wires on the vac are just for test purposes and careful not to shot to ground

Hello John, thanks for your reply. When I plug in the stove, the exhaust fan goes on right away on very high speed for about 45 seconds, then it slows down by more than half. About three minutes later, I can see the lighter glow red, but in the meantime, there is not turn of the auger. I try to listen for a hummm or something to see if the auger is even trying to turn, but nothing at all. I am about to go outside and reinspect the flue, hopefully there is an obstruction. Then I will follow your suggestion on the vac line, I will post my findings.

Thank you so much,

Jordan

Well, I cleaned the vent, and there was not much there, so I took the side panel off the pellet stove to check into the vac switch. It turns out I did not have to test the switch because the hose that attaches to the pellet stove's inner chamber came out! The hose went back in without much pressure, which I guess is why it came loose when I installed the stove last season. Well, suffice to say that life is great again at my house with this heat power station working just great again.

Thank you so much for your help!
