Well still having problems with my Accentra. This time around it shuts down when switching it to Manual and Stove Temp from Auto Room Temp. When I have done this in the past, it uses far less pellets and is still running when I get home after 10 hours.
Yesterday I ran it on Auto and Room temp and set the pellet feed at number 2 and it shut down during the night.
The chain on the auger came off again and so I put it back on and then it was ok.
Then I cleaned out the pipe and took off the cap at the bottom of the T pipe coming out of the back of the stove. Hardly any ash in there but it was hard to get the cap back on without smoke venting out of it so i sealed it up with black stove cement and then venting stopped. Of course i will need a new T pipe next spring so I can clean the pipe. Another expense!
It goes on and on with this stove, I clean it regularly according to manufacturers instructions and it will go great for about a month or a little more, then it will either shut down as mentioned above. It has had a number of parts replaced and every season I am frigging with this damn stove. There is no blockage in the vent pipe either.
This spring I will sell it as is so I can hopefully get another Harman P38 which has never required a service call in over 5 years.
I have the P38 upstairs in my house. Works great! Why is this? Because it is NOT operated by a computer like the Accentra is. I am fed up with the Accentra. It is definitely not a stove that I can rely on and is expensive to operate.
