have an older (2006) mt Vernon that is giving me fits. I bought it used for a decent price for a running stove (I was lied to)

Since installation I have had nothing but issues, had the board repaired after the convection blower terminals melted off, the auto clean system would get stuck but most of the time it would run fine. Now recently it’s started a fun game of endless startup/shutdown/auto clean loop. I have a new thermocouple on the way but I tend to doubt that’s the issue.

And now another issue! Stove will eventually start running sometimes, but it’ll run for a bit then just go totally dead, no power to anything. I have 120v at the power supply input but nothing on the 12v output, it’ll restart most of the time if I unplug the power supply. Is there a component in there that can overheat and shut down then re start? The fuse has not blown yet
The existing thermocouple is installed properly, it’s contacting the end of the ceramic cover, IF the stove gets to start it seems to run fine for a while then it’ll get stuck in its loop, sometimes unplugging will fix it, sometimes it won’t. I am pretty good at diagnosing and testing but this has me stumped.

Any suggestions on where to start other than putting this turd in the scrap pile?

If you had terminals melt at the board i would bet the board was damaged and fryed something in the board. Also if it melted terminals then their must be something wrong with convection blower to pull that much power to melt terminals.

When one of my blowers seized up last year it cooked something in the board, during startup the fans would surge until the unit reached operating temp and then everything would level out. I did not figure this out until i replaced every snap disk and motor in the process of elimination.
