When I emptied my ash pan there were lots ash that missed the pan. Today I had some spare time so I made 2 shields the to direct the ash into the pan. The first pix show the gap between the wall and ash pan. The 2 pix shows the shield.
I made them out of a piece of drip edge I had left over from a roofing project. It only took a few minutes, after I found the drip edge. It’s about 5 ½ inches long and 3 inches wide, they just pop in and out.
