Well I'm getting the hang of my 30-NC.
I cut some dead birch down a week or two ago. Split most of it. It actually burns pretty well.
Been tossing in a couple of big rounds (6-9") in the stove and they burn plenty hot for and for quite a while.
It hasnt been very cold though 25-38 and the house is staying 70ish. Which is fine for us. We still need to insulate the attic.
It has zero, im sure the house will be warmer after that.
I tossed these in at 11:20, the stove was at ~300 in 20 minutes it was at 600.
This pic was right when I put them in.

I still think I may need to sleeve my chimney.
