This worked way better than I imagined it would. Note it was much too wet to use my normal way a skid loader.

towed with the zero turn?
 
Ive used an old car hood to move rocks. It could help skid logs too.
 
I had the feeling those zero turn mowers had fragile hydro wheel motors, Never had on so maybe other can comment.

Many of them do...barely adequate for pushing the mower around the yard cutting grass. Now if its a commercial unit then some of those actually have pretty decent pumps/motors, but still aren't meant to be used as tractors.
If that machine has non serviceable hydros, then they will be short lived...BTDT.
