Hello all.

I am new to the forum. I am looking for a discontinued Majestic part need for the conversion of my NVC36RN to NVC36RP.

A separate burner housing assembly is needed for the conversion and the part has been discontinued. I am looking for Burner Assembly Housing Part# MJH10000028. I could use a new or used part to complete the conversion.

Does anyone have access to old new stock or aware of any dealers that may still have obsolete parts.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am removing burner housing assembly MJH10000027 (which has never been used) so if I can manage to convert the unit to LP, this part may be of benefit to someone out there.

Thanks again.

Bill

Call your local Heat & Glo dealer’s service department & see what they say. The parent company , Hearth & Home Technologies, now own the Majestic and Vermont Castings brands. Chances are the part is not gonna be found. However, they might be able to tell you what the differences are between the LP & NG burner, especially the diameters of the burn ports. The burn ports in the NG are probably too large for LP, but the only way find out is to test it, after you change the regulator head , the pilot orifice & burner orifice, & open the air shutter. My experience tells me that the flames will be quite large, as NG burn ports tend to be larger due to lower gas pressure. If you know what size they need to be, a good weld/machine shop may be able to plug & redrill. It’s either that or replace the appliance.

Thanks Bob,

I've tried Majestic and Heat and Glo and Vermont Castings dealers and all say the part has been discontinued. Since the part number is different for the NG and LP unit, I also suspect that the burn ports are different. On the fireplace placard, it shows the pilot orifice size and part number which I can find. For the burner housing orifice, the placard says N/A suggesting that the burner orifice is the same for both however, the actual burner housing assembly part number is different. NG is 10000027. LP is 10000028.

Can I use a different burner housing assembly as long as it is for an LP unit. I've emailed Majestic last week and so far, no response. I was hoping to find out if I could convert the existing assembly (i.e. what is the difference between the parts).

Appreciate the input but so far, a dead end.
