Another article at the same site discussed the pellet shortage. My belief is that the shortage is regional as are the reasons for the shortage. Such as this article relates to the southern region, but here is one reason I was not aware of:
The sawdust the companies use to make pellets is being shipped to plywood companies, so theres a shortage.
Hurricane Katrina and other major storms that hit New Orleans and the rest of the Gulf Coast have created a major demand for plywood as rebuilding continues.
No problem, I could let it slide once but three times!! I think we're going to see more lumber cut specifically for making wood pellets in the future, especially if oil prices increase and the economy stays flat.
