Lopi Liberty NexGen Hybrid?

So I had settled on purchasing the BK Princess32 went to the dealer today to order, took the wife with me, she did not care for the looks of the BK mainly because of the small glass in the door. They had Lopi Liberty sitting in the same room , bigger stove, large glass door that she really liked, bonus it was about $800 less. My concern is that its a relatively new design replacing the Liberty NexGen Fyre, (hate buying new products till they are proven) the hybrid uses a cat the Fyre does not, was wondering if anyone is burning the hybrid and their thoughts, mainly on if there are cat related issues , I have read that Lopi used to use cats but got away from it , now they are back to using them( I assume to meet the standards for the fed tax credit) Thanks again for any info

From all reports, the Lopi hybrids perform well. I took a look at the Liberty NexGen and found it has some nice improvements. Reports are good so far. It's a serious heater and a good looker too.

This is my first year with my Lopi Liberty and in doing research prior to getting I found a lot of questions about key dampers, stove overheating and such so I thought I would make this post to help people in the future. …

My setup is a Liberty with no key damper, around 24’ of double wall pipe with 2 45 degree connectors about 17’ up. The stove is located in the open area of the house with cathedral ceiling about 19’ high. 1950 sqft and the stove heats the entire house.

Last night I loaded the stove with 5 large pieces of hickory north/south on a large bed of coals with a stove top...
