Hi All:
In my search to replace my cracked 30 year old VC Resolute, I was nearly ready to buy the Leyeden (love top loaders)... but then someone pointed out max chimney of 33' state in the manual.
I'm well over 35' on my solid metal liner...so I guess the Leyeden is out.
As for top loaders, my local rep told me about the IR. However, reading more about its top loading option, it does not sound ideal (ie. can't pack the box...tapered box...burner tubes in the way, etc...).
I've pretty much decided that top loading is not going to be an option...so now I'm thinking side load is the next best thing.
That being said, from reading the reviews/reports, the Jotul F500 looks to be a good option. I have to admit that the simple single air control is appealing...especially for the Mrs to run.
Any experiences/comments/suggestions?
Thanks all. Sorry about flurry of questions, but I want to get my stove purchase in before the tax credit expires this year.
Doug
