Can some one please tell me the difference between these two brands? I get that the are two brands under the same parent company Travis Industries. But what's the difference between the products. I've been looking at the Lopi Medium Flush NextGen Hybrid, but is there ANY difference between this and the Fireplace Xtrordinair Medium Flush NextGen Hybrid (besides the face designs)? Are the prices different? If not, why are there two brands? The websites are almost exactly the same, with minor differences. It all feels more confusing than it should.

This is basically as when GM offered Chev, Pontiac, Buick, Olds.
Several larger stove manufacturers market different brands using the exact same firebox but offering different looks, legs, doors, build material qualities, finishes and colors etc., if you check out SBI's web site '' Stove Builders International '' they offer 4 different brands of wood stoves with the same firebox size across all of them, one brand their highest quality stoves destined for sale by specifically chosen stove dealers, another quality brand destined for sale by other stove dealers as well, other brand destined for sale in big box stores and hardware chains only, other less expensive brand destined for online sales to consumer directly, all with same size firebox but with different characteristics, options and pricing levels . Travis is basically doing the same thing.

Thanks! So is one of those brands higher quality/more expensive than the other?

Both those brands are not popular here in my neck of the woods so not carried by local dealers therefore can not help you much further. Visit your local stove shops to see both products and talk with the people who sell and service these regularly to guide you with your decision.

Travis makes high quality stoves. The FPX fireplace used to be more expensive. They were mostly high-end ZC fireplaces. At the medium-sized insert level now the differences are mostly just trim. Both are good inserts.

Side story. When touring the massive Travis plant in Mulkiteo, WA I got to see the special order FPX 44 hammered front being made. The hammering was done by hand by a man with the largest biceps I have ever seen.
