My name is Skip and I'm building a 310 SF cabin in Northern PA. I'm considering the Moreso 2B and am wondering what Moreso 2B owners' experience is in using the stove in the winter?

Has it been easy to operate?
How long does it burn?
I'm wondering if you cook on the top at all -or heat water, etc.?
What else should I know?

I've had a hard time finding reviews.

I also looked at the Drolet Deco Nano or Spark II - but my local dealer doesn't work with Drolet.

Thanks for any guidance you can provide!

Here's his first when he got the stove.

@tinyorchid also has some good reports

Yes, I had a hard time finding reviews on it also. I did find a few people on IG that had one and they all loved it. I have had it a year now.

I have a small electric wall heater that keeps things from freezing but not toasty, so the Moreso 2B is my main heat. My cabin has a 400 sq foot print with a loft for sleeping. I don't keep fires burning through the night as the loft would be too hot for sleeping.

We got down to -40F last winter and stove kept me warm. It is easy to operate, I love it, plus it is cute with the squirrel, oak leaves and acorns. I like that it is small too, takes up less room in a small room, making it look more spacious than my old big stove did. It burns super clean and seems quite efficient.

How long it burns depends on your burning style and type of wood, soft verses hard, I can't really say how long it burns. It is a small box, 7" diameter log is the largest it will take and only one of those. .

A person could cook on it, or heat water. I have a little fan on it to spread the heat across the room.

If you have any more questions feel free to ask.

The Morso would be a nice fit for this small space. Drolet stoves are sold direct and through large distributers.

Note that there are several Tiny Home threads in the main forum that cover other alternatives.

thanks everyone for this really helpful information.
The Moreso 2B claims to have an ash tray on their website, but when I look at the documentation, it sounds like ashes are just removed directly from the firebox.
Can Moreso 2B owners tell me if their is an ash tray for cleanout? Its not a deal breaker, but a nice to have.

Looks like bad copy/paste error by the website tech. The stove has neither an ashpan nor a riddling grate.

Note when searching that the English spelling is Morso or Morsø in Danish.

The 2b classic with the tall heat exchanger has the ash pan. I think

Yes, you're right. It's not as practical for cooking on with the tall heat exchanger on top. The error is on the 2b standard page where they mention the ashpan and riddling grate too.
